Yonat Shlezinger-Shafrir

Yonat Shlezinger-Shafrir has lived in Zichron Yaakov since 1992. She loved the landscape that was then visible from her backyard. The growing construction development over the years, has closed off large portions of that landscapes but added new neighbors. Shlezinger-Shafrir strolls in the streets of the Moshava, and finds in the community green collection spots, plants that have been thrown from their original homes. She adopts them, cultivates them and enjoys the recycled life that she has allowed. In her art she documents branches and roots that she had not been able to save.
