Keren Farago
Keren Farago has lived in Maayan Tzvi Since 2007. The Fisheries are a topic she explores often. The birds which frequent the fisheries, represent freedom but also longing, as some of them migrate far away, and others stay put, and nest. Farago is well connected to her surrounding habitat. Beyond her connection to the natural surroundings, she also collects and saves old books and drawers that were hand-made, then broken and strewn with the dismantling of old homes and the deaths of their residents. Through meditative assembly of mixed media work she connects to her given theme of exploration, and finishes each work as it emerges, with final magical touches.
